KazaX Minerals Inc. (KazaX), based in Astana, is an emerging mining corporation rapidly developing its first iron ore bearing property, the Lomonosovskoye deposit (the “LOMO Deposit”) in Kostanay Region of northeastern Kazakhstan, near the city of Rudniy approximately 618 kilometres from the country’s capital of Astana.
Rudniy, which in English translates to “ore”, was established to support a prolific mining district with numerous operations that have been producing iron ore for the last 50 years.
KazaX management has considerable mining industry experience and benefited by having access to an extensive historical database. This has allowed the company to fast track the analysis of the technical characteristics of the LOMO Deposit which demonstrates a similar geological setting to the nearby operating magnetite iron open pit and underground mines.
